They are also featured in Free Mode, where they can be performed at any time whilst on foot with a subset of actions that can also be performed while in a car (it's impossible to do so on a in a boat or airplane and only the finger can be done on a bike).
Hand and arm actions can be done before and after races, deathmatches, Last Team Standings and VS Missions.
